Celebrating Growth and Inspiration on My Birthday

Each year, I celebrate my birthday with a creative photoshoot that reflects my evolving taste and growth as a Creative Director. This year, it was all about a special hat. Likely from the 60s and never worn, this hat belonged to my great aunt, who spent part of her life as a nun.

To me, this hat is more than a fashion statement—it’s a symbol. While women have made significant strides in the workplace, there's still much to do to ensure women can lead and take action without concerns about perception. Wearing this hat feels like taking the chances my great aunt didn’t.

In learning more about my family, I’ve discovered many remarkable, entrepreneurial women who paved the way before me. For instance, my great aunt’s mother owned a boarding house in the 1920s, always wore high heels, and had fire-engine red hair well into her 80s. These women inspire me every day to push boundaries and embrace my unique journey.

Being a Creative Director is my dream job. The greatest gift is living my passion, creating beautiful things, and sharing them with people who appreciate the art and effort behind every project.
